Which rack system fits my inventory?

Selective teardrop rack is the starting point for mixed SKUs and direct access; pushback stores each SKU 2–6 pallets deep using LIFO. Pallet flow suits FIFO and dated stock, drive-in suits bulk quantities of few SKUs, cantilever supports long loads, and carton flow serves case picking. We compare the systems against your inventory and handling equipment before recommending one.

How do I choose upright depth, beam length and rack height?

For standard 48-inch-deep pallets, 42-inch-deep uprights are a common starting point; common beam lengths are 96 inches for two 40-inch-wide pallets, 108 inches, and 144 inches for three. Rack height depends on building clear height and forklift lift height. Measure your real pallets, including load overhang, before choosing components.

Will new pallet rack connect to the rack I already have?

Usually, if the connection matches and the existing configuration can support the addition. "Teardrop" is not universal across manufacturers: send photos of the upright face, beam connector and any label so we can match new components and check the finished load ratings.

What determines the price of pallet rack?

Price depends on pallet positions, rack height, beam capacity, decking, freight and installation. Send your pallet size, heaviest load per level, clear height and building size for a free CAD layout and an itemized quote. We supply new material only.

Can you arrange pallet rack installation?

Yes. We handle design, supply and installation with experienced installation crews we schedule and manage. The rack is anchored to the floor, and the completed layout and load plaques are reviewed at handover.

Our Warehouse Racking Products

Match the rack to your inventory, handling equipment, and available height. Many buildings use more than one system.

Pallet Rack

Also called selective pallet rack

Every pallet reachable, every time. The baseline we size everything else against.

Pushback Rack

Also called push back pallet rack system

Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

Pallet Flow Rack

Also called flow through racking

Load one side, pick the other, and let gravity enforce first in, first out.

Drive-In Rack

Also called drive through pallet racking

Fewer access aisles. The forklift enters the structure to store multiple pallets of the same SKU in depth.

Cantilever Rack

Also called cantilever warehouse racking

Arms with nothing in front of them, built for lumber, pipe, and anything a pallet can't hold.

Carton Flow Rack

Also called carton flow shelving

Cases advance to the picker instead of the picker hunting for cases.

Choosing Between Rack Types

Four things decide the answer: how many SKUs you carry, how many pallets you hold of each one, how fast product turns, and how much height the building gives you.

Many SKUs with a pallet or two each point to selective pallet rack. Several pallets of the same item favor pushback. Date-driven rotation calls for pallet flow. Large volumes of a few items in a tight footprint suit drive-in. Long material needs cantilever, and case picking needs carton flow.
